Safety valve is used to control the fluid flow by controlling the rate of gushing out from the system. When the open circuit pressure reaches the preset level, the safety valve automatically opens almost all the way. This mode is generally termed as “manual” safety valve. On the other hand, in the “automatic” safety valve the control lies with the operator who may choose the open and closed position. These two safety valve types have many differences, but they are largely similar in performance and use.
